Ken
has two passions-bears and photography and the two go hand in glove.
While guiding Ken has the opportunity to spend hundreds of hours
each summer photographing both the wildlife and the scenery of
Katmai National Park and Preserve. Over the years he has accumulated
thousands of images of the animals and landscape, the predominance
of which are of the brown bears themselves. He loves to share his
knowledge of the area and his expertise with fellow
photographers-amateur and professional alike. His years of
experience have given him a deep understanding of the bears, the
terrain and the way the bears move through their habitat throughout
the year-enjoy the following photographs, moments captured in time
of a timeless place and the bears that make it their home.
